Ifrane is the “little Switzerland” of Morocco. We arrived here at lunchtime on the 3rd Jan, half a day late as the roads through the mountains took longer than I remembered. That coupled with driving through the Rif area – well known as bandit country and one of the leading hash producers in the world, meant a stressful evening, arriving at the very nice Rose Hotel (15 USD per night) in Taounate at around 2130.
