Toby supervises the puncture repair. 3 quid it cost us.

One of the many labyrinthine passages in the medina.

Look at all the shopping Faz and Toby have!
Marrakech, Morocco
We arrived in Marrakech in good style, fighting through cars, buses, trucks and donkeys! We're staying at a Ryad, a traditional Moroccan house located up the narrow, twisty and turny passages of the Medina. Over the next couple of days we'll do some shopping and get the types fixed (Faz got a puncture after tempting fate). When we leave Marrakech, the adventure starts proper…
Ifrane, Morocco
Ifrane is the “little Switzerland” of Morocco. We arrived here at lunchtime on the 3rd Jan, half a day late as the roads through the mountains took longer than I remembered. That coupled with driving through the Rif area – well known as bandit country and one of the leading hash producers in the world, meant a stressful evening, arriving at the very nice Rose Hotel (15 USD per night) in Taounate at around 2130.

Toby & Faz enjoy a nice cuppa after a long day.
Halfway between Spain & Morrocco
So the real adventure starts! There may be a bit of a delay getting more photos posted as we're leaving 3G range. So we may be relying on internet cafes, but we'll post when we get to Marrakech in a couple of days.
Algerciras, Spain
While the Plymouth Banjul Challenge sets a GBP 100 limit on the competition vehicle, they didn't say anything about our support truck!

Faz, Kristy & Toby stand on the Rock, with Europa Point in the background. Note Faz just loves heights!
Gibraltar, UK
So Gibraltar has been British for ages, no-one ever could take it from us. However, according to some, the Americans could take this “monkey-filled rock” if they really wanted to!

Toby carefully reverses off Gibraltar!

Went to Gib to do some shopping, everything was shut so we went to the pub.
